Full Biography
Jamal Khan, President and CEO of Global Serve, Inc., has 16 years of Management and Technology experience. Prior to his appointment as the Chief Executive Mr. Khan operated as the Chief Information Officer for the company. Before Global Serve, Mr. Khan served on the board and in an Executive Management role at CERTStation, Inc., an IT Security firm. He was formerly with VeriSign, Inc. for five years and left the company as the Director of Enterprise Strategy, after having served in Sales Engineering and Business Development roles. Mr. Khan was also a member of the Executive Management Team for the Security Services division, a business unit within VeriSign that generated over $120MM globally in security services and products reselling.
Prior to VeriSign, Mr. Khan was the Senior Applications Architect with Merck Medco, LLC, where he was primarily responsible for developing and architecting applications for Merck Medco's consumer-facing businesses managing a user community of over 20 million consumers. He also worked for Instinet (a subsidiary of Reuters Inc.), where he led the early strategic initiatives in migrating legacy trading systems onto the Internet medium. At Instinet Mr. Khan was also responsible for rationalizing US SEC Regulatory requirements with business and technology imperatives. He also served as the CTO for US Now Corporation, a pioneer in providing rich content for the Internet in the mid nineties.
Mr. Khan has published numerous articles on Information Technology and is an avid speaker at industry seminars and corporate sponsored symposiums. Mr. Khan was also a guest lecturer for the Pennsylvania State University's Masters of Information Sciences, covering topics related to technology and applied policy and theory. Mr. Khan has attended the undergraduate programs at Columbia and Rutgers University in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Political Science. Mr. Khan sits on the boards of multiple technology companies.
